Writing for Liberation and Connection
The Garden Salon is a space for reviving curiosity and care. Honoring the traditions of salon culture, the Garden Salon uses writing sessions to build connections to self and others. Prompted writing exercises, community discussion, and room to share create a generative environment to explore. Land practices like gardening or looking at the ocean, or finding similarities in soil and gut health, inspire many of the prompts and discussion questions. Learn more about the offerings on this site and be sure to keep in touch for updates about what’s coming, what’s new, and why you’ll love to be a part of it all.

The Garden Salon is a hub for cultivating creativity.

“Dallas is an incredible facilitator who will lovingly hold a mirror to you.”

The Steward
I am Dallas.
I created the Garden Salon to share my love of the meditation of writing. I am a land steward and listener; learning the teachings of non human relatives to be a better being for us. I love cats, bats, anarchy, good food, and great company. See you in the Garden!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Dallas knows how to cultivate a safe, inviting space to explore the parts of us that we often feel shame or shy around. Done in a way that you can choose, it is as much a journey of self-dating as it is tapping (further) into a creative community. The participants of the workshop I attended were diverse in ethnicity, gender, and sexuality, and creative styles. Could not recommend Dallas’ workshop more and cannot wait to participate in more myself.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
It was so nice to have a dedicated space to work on writing for writing’s sake. There was self-discovery and growth… I loved hearing everyone else’s perspectives and how they interpreted the prompt! It with other writers and to share in the experience. 10/10 would recommend!
